Billing and General Questions

Do you accept insurance?
Bluegrass Telehealth Services, LLC does not accept insurance for payment. However, if your insurance covers prescribed medications, you may be able to use it at the pharmacy.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit cards, major credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards through our secure payment system.

​

Is there a fee for prior authorizations or paperwork?
Yes. There is a $25 administrative fee for prior authorizations and other provider-completed paperwork.

How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled through our online booking system. Please visit the Book Now section of our website to get started.

Is my information secure?
Yes. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant systems to protect patient information and maintain privacy.

Primary and Preventative Care

Do you offer sick visits through telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth sick visits may be appropriate for many common conditions. A licensed provider will determine whether telehealth is suitable or if in-person care is recommended.

Do you manage chronic conditions?
Chronic condition management may be offered through telehealth depending on the condition and individual circumstances.

Do you treat children?
Children may be seen for certain sick visits when appropriate.

​

Can you order labs or imaging?
Yes. Labs and imaging may be ordered when clinically appropriate. Some insurance plans do not allow out-of-network providers to complete authorizations, but cash-pay options are available.

Hormone Therapy

Do you offer hormone replacement therapy?
Yes. We offer hormone-related care, including men’s testosterone therapy and sermorelin, when clinically appropriate and determined through provider evaluation.

Do you offer women’s hormone therapy?
Not yet, but this service is coming soon.

Is hormone therapy available through telehealth?
Hormone therapy may be provided through telehealth depending on medical history, eligibility, and state regulations. All care is clinician-guided.

Metabolic Support & Vitamin Therapy

What is metabolic support and vitamin therapy?
Metabolic support and vitamin therapy may be used to support nutritional balance and overall wellness as part of an individualized care plan under medical supervision.

Do you offer vitamin injections such as B12 or lipotropic injections?
Vitamin and metabolic therapies may be recommended based on individual evaluation and clinical need. Specific options are discussed during a telehealth visit.

Non GLP-1 Weight Loss Options

What are non-GLP-1 weight loss options?
Non-GLP-1 options include weight management approaches that do not involve GLP-1 medications. These may include alternative prescription options, meal replacement programs, and lifestyle-based care.

Can I do a meal replacement program only?
Yes. Meal replacement programs may be offered as a standalone option when clinically appropriate and guided by a licensed medical provider.

GLP-1 Therapy

What are GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 medications are prescription treatments that may be used as part of a medical weight management program. Eligibility is determined by a licensed provider after a comprehensive evaluation.

Do you prescribe GLP-1 medications through telehealth?
GLP-1 medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate following a telehealth evaluation. Not all patients are candidates.

Do you offer medications like Wegovy® or Zepbound®?
Specific prescription options are discussed during a telehealth consultation. Treatment decisions are based on individual medical needs and provider evaluation.

Medical Weight Management

What is medical weight management?
Medical weight management is a clinician-guided approach to weight loss that may include lifestyle strategies, nutrition support, prescription medications, and ongoing medical oversight.

Do you offer weight loss care without GLP-1 medications?
Yes. Non-GLP-1 weight loss options may include other prescription medications, meal replacement programs, and lifestyle-based support when appropriate.

Are results guaranteed?
No. Weight management results vary from person to person. Treatment plans are individualized, and outcomes depend on many factors, including health history and adherence.

Telehealth & Appointments

What is telehealth?
Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare services through secure technology, allowing patients to connect with licensed providers remotely by phone, video, or online messaging.

What is asynchronous telehealth?
Asynchronous telehealth (also called “store-and-forward” telemedicine) allows patients and providers to communicate without being online at the same time. Patients submit information through a secure platform, which the provider reviews before responding with recommendations or next steps.

​

Do I need to come into an office?
No. All Bluegrass Telehealth visits are virtual. We do not have a physical office location.

​

Do I need special equipment for telehealth visits?
No. You only need a device with internet access, a camera, and audio capability. Most smartphones, tablets, and computers work well.

​

What states do you provide care in?
Our provider is licensed to provide telehealth services in Kentucky, Colorado, and Virginia. Availability depends on patient location at the time of the visit.

​

Can telehealth replace emergency or in-person care?
No. Telehealth is not a substitute for emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek in-person emergency care.
