Semorelin Therapy
Overview
Sermorelin is a prescription peptide therapy that stimulates the body’s natural production of growth hormone by acting on the pituitary gland. It is sometimes used as part of a clinician-guided hormone optimization program for patients experiencing symptoms associated with low or declining growth hormone levels.
At Bluegrass Telehealth, sermorelin therapy is provided through secure telehealth visits with individualized treatment plans based on symptoms, medical history, and appropriate clinical evaluation.
How Semorelin Works
Sermorelin is a growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) analog. Rather than supplying synthetic human growth hormone (HGH), sermorelin works by signaling the pituitary gland to stimulate the body’s own natural growth hormone production.
Because it supports endogenous hormone release, sermorelin may allow for more regulated and physiologic hormone activity compared to direct hormone replacement in select patients.
Potential Benefits:
Some patients may experience improvements in areas such as:
-
Sleep quality
-
Energy levels
-
Recovery and physical resilience
-
Body composition support
-
Overall sense of well-being
Individual responses vary, and benefits depend on baseline hormone levels, overall health, and adherence to treatment recommendations.
Who May Be a Candidate?
Sermorelin therapy may be considered for adults who:
-
Have symptoms consistent with reduced growth hormone activity
-
Are interested in supporting natural hormone production
-
Are seeking a clinician-guided hormone optimization option
-
Are able to participate in ongoing monitoring and follow-up care
Sermorelin is not appropriate for everyone.
Eligibility is determined by a licensed medical provider following a comprehensive evaluation.
