FAQ'S:

What is telehealth?

Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare services through secure technology, allowing patients to connect with licensed providers remotely — by phone, video, or online messaging. It offers convenient access to medical care, follow-ups, and health management from the comfort of your home. Telehealth makes it easier to receive personalized treatment, discuss medications, and track progress without the need for in-person visits — saving time while maintaining the same level of professional care.

Do I need to come into the office for a visit?

No. Bluegrass Telehealth visits are striclty virtual and there is no physical office location.

Is there a fee for Prior Authorization?

Yes, there is a $25 administrative fee for prior authorizations and other provider-completed paperwork.

What states are you licensed to provide care in?

Bluegrass Telehealth currently offers services in Kentucky, Virginia and Colorado only.

Can you order labs and imaging?

Yes, however, some insurances will not allow out of network providers to complete authorizations for some tests.

What is Asynchronous Telehealth?

Asynchronous telehealth—also known as “store-and-forward” telemedicine—is a form of virtual healthcare that allows patients and providers to communicate without needing to be online at the same time. Instead of a live video or phone call, patients securely share information such as medical history, photos, or symptoms through an online portal or questionnaire. The provider then reviews the information, makes an assessment, and responds with a treatment plan, prescription, or follow-up recommendations—typically within a set timeframe. This method offers convenience and flexibility for patients while maintaining high-quality, secure medical care that fits into both the patient’s and provider’s schedules.

Do you take Insurance?

Bluegrass Telehealth does not take any insurance for payment. However, if your insurance covers your medication you may use it for that.

Do you provide care for children?

Children may only be seen for non-emergent sick visits at Bluegrass Telehealth.

What payment methods do you accept?

You may use our secure server to pay with debit cards, major credit cards or HSA/FSA cards.
